Xbox Game Console Revolution
For you game lovers, impossible for you not to recognize Xbox latest invention: Xbox 360. This Microsoft product is a great competitor for other happening game console such as PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii. Different from Xbox previous model, Xbox 360 is now integrated with Xbox Live that allows you to have an online competition with other Xbox users all over the world. Besides, Xbox Live also allows you to download many contents such as arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, and even a movie.
Not to forget, this Xbox 360 has what’s called Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities. This feature provides you a high definition support, giving you all the best to enjoy your favorite game, movie rentals and game download from it’s official online store. With some add-on drive, you can also make your Xbox 360 a HD DVD movie player.
Officially launched on November 22, 2005 Xbox undergo some evolution ever since. Xbox 360 Core is the first model that hit the market. This console is packed with composite video cables capable of SDTV resolutions, but also support HDMI 1.2 output in its newer models. The Xbox Core may output HD signals up to 1080p when connected to separately sold HDMI, Component, or VGA cables. It also compatible with any 20, 60, or 120 GB separately sold hard drive.
Later on, Xbox 360 Arcade was officially release to replace Xbox 360 Core on October 22, 2007. Along with the package is a wireless controller, composite AV cable, HDMI 1.2 output, an internal 256 MB memory chip, and five Xbox Live Arcade titles in a single disk.
The next generation of this gadget is named Xbox 360 Pro. Sometimes people know it with only Xbox 360 as written in the box with little subheading “Go Pro”. This next generation of the game console is fully packed with all features available on Xbox 360 Arcade plus a hybrid composite and component cable with optional optical out, instead of a composite cable. To give its user a freedom to download various contents, Xbox 360 Pro come along a detachable 60 GB Hard Disk Drive which compatible with original Xbox games. Inside the hard drives you can find game demos, video clips, and a free Live Arcade game.
The latest and the most complete version of this game console is the Xbox 360 Elite. Along with its expensive price compared to the previous models, this game gadget is fully packed with a 120 GB hard drive, an HDMI 1.2 cable, a controller and headset that match the system matte black finish. Elite early model was sold in a Zephyr motherboard, and the later model with Falcon 65 nm chipset.
Nowadays, you can still find Xbox Elite, Xbox Pro, and Xbox Arcade on the market, and not the Xbox Core due to its discontinued production. With every special specification each model has, you can find one best suit your need.
